競馬と予想
世の中には、様々なギャンブルがあります。パチンコやスロットはもちろん、宝くじもギャンブルのひとつです。

そして、これらの中で最も高い知名度を誇っているのが、競馬です。
競馬は、簡単に言えば、馬の徒競走です。
各馬にはジョッキーという乗り手（騎手）が一人搭乗し、馬を操り、特定の距離を走り、その順位を競うというレースが行われ、このレースの着順を対象にギャンブルが行われます。
ギャンブルというと不健全なイメージが付きまといますが、競馬に関しては、男臭いというイメージこそあるものの、不健全というイメージはあまりありません。
それは、馬という人間の意思では完全にコントロールできない生き物が予想対象となるからです。
また、競馬に出てくる馬は、ただ生まれて育っただけの馬ではありません。
両親に有名な馬を持つエリート、つまりは「サラブレッド」もいれば、そういった血筋には縁のない馬もいます。
この競走馬の生い立ちにロマンを見る人も多く、それが競馬に他のギャンブルとは異なる魅力を感じさせるのです。
競馬は、馬のレースの着順を予想するものです。
ですが、それだけが競馬の楽しみ方ではありません。
レースの順位はもちろん、肩入れする馬を作ったり、競走馬の出生を調べたりなど、様々な角度からレースを楽しめるのが、競馬の良いところなのです。
